On 15 November 2023, Jaroslav Daniška was appointed as Chair of the Board of Directors and CEO of ZSSK CARGO, the Slovak state-owned freight train operator.

Daniška is a graduate of the University of Economics in Bratislava, and has more than twenty years of experience in the Slovakian and British banking sectors. In 2012 he took a position at ZSSK CARGO as the Director of the Trade Division.

UIC would like to express its sincere congratulations to Daniška on his appointment, and convey its very best wishes for the future.
