On 27 June 2025, from 11:00-12:30 CET, UIC invites you to take part in one of the Fit for Freight Spring Sessions, for an unique look into ATLAS – the master location database designed to streamline and future-proof rail freight operations.
What is ATLAS?
ATLAS is a master database from UIC that helps railway companies manage station codes for operations and transport documents. It supports DIUM station codes, loading points, and border points and includes a distance table between stations. Subsidiary Location Codes (SLCs) can also be uploaded to Central Database Reference (CRD) in the TAF TSI-required format.
Designed initially for RUs, ATLAS is now open to all stakeholders who rely on precise and standardised location data.
What to expect in the session:
- Context and key concepts: TAF TSI, CRD, Primary Locations Codes (PLCs) & SLCs
- Legacy vs TAF TSI codes: real-world examples
- Challenges in implementation and how ATLAS helps
- A live demo of ATLAS in action
- Expert insights from Tom Thijs, Lineas, and Parinaz Bazeghi, UIC
Don’t miss the opportunity to gain insight into how ATLAS is shaping the future of digital rail freight.
