On 21 October, at the initiative of UIC Chairman Krzysztof Mamiński, a meeting was held with the primary goal of discussing the railway industry in the African region. UIC Vice-Chairman Mohammed Khlie and Director General Francois Davenne participated in the meeting. The UIC Chairman stressed the importance of implementing coherent measures worldwide in terms of railway promotion, technological solutions and accessibility.
