UIC, in collaboration with the International Federation of Freight Forwarders (FIATA), has organised a webinar to explore the current situation on the development of transport and logistics corridors in South and Latin-America, which will be held on 14 February 2023, from 10:00 – 12:15 CST.

As logistics and transport corridors are drivers for economic and social development, UIC and FIATA are very active in supporting all stakeholders to develop these corridors. The two-hour programme will approach the topic from several angles. The first part will see three renowned speakers provide an overview of the region’s current level of corridor development. In the second and third parts, the floor will be given to stakeholders in the field, with the former part giving several countries and its policy makers the chance to present projects which support corridor development. In the third part, operators from different modes of transport will provide their position on the opportunities, challenges and what will be needed to make corridor development a success on par with other parts of the world.

The webinar will be held in Spanish with simultaneous interpretation into English and Portuguese.
