The CEF PSA UBS (Unified Braking Scheme) Action Project was launched to resolve the technical operational issues relating to different national braking rules and requirements. UBS was implemented as a pilot project along the Rhine-Alpine Corridor and has now been running for 2 years.
Its main goal was to demonstrate that the UBS solution does not reduce rail safety in any way, and therefore fulfils all the requirements set out in the CSM REA Safety Directive. One of the tasks on the path to achieving this has been to transfer the knowledge gained across the TEN-T rail network.
This final conference will showcase the project’s key findings while also being a good opportunity for participants to learn about the latest developments and to get answers on applying the updated rules.
